Details Association for India's Development (AID) is proud to present, once again, Kalanjali - a dedication to Indian Art. Enjoy an evening of classical Indian dance and music, performed by artistes from the Portland Metro area. This unique event brings together four dance styles - Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Thiruvathira Kali, and Odissi - and classical Carnatic music from South India. This rich variety of dance and music depicts the brilliance and beauty of Indian culture. Carnatic music will be performed by Janhavi Meghashyam, Sailaja Dharmala, and Ramamoorthy Dharmala. Thiruvathira Kali will be performed by Mini Jairaj and troupe, Odissi by Tania Chatterjee and her students from Nupur Dance Academy, Kuchipudi by students of Priyadarshini Madhunapantula from Abhinaya Darpana Dance Academy, and by Anuradha Ganesh and Saraga Reddy, and Bharatanatyam by students of Radhika Narayanan from Navarasa school of Dance, and by Akila Rao and Sharanya Ravi. Make sure to buy tickets early for a magical and riveting evening that will showcase the best talent in Portland. Ticket prices at the gate will be higher, so buy them early! | |
